What is covered by Virtual IT Services?

In most cases, IT support is provided through managed services. When your server goes down or you need help with server systems, you can depend on us. Our virtual IT Department will indicate regular maintenance, security patches and if required advanced protection and ransomware detection to ensure things run smoothly.

Standard Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) applied to response, escalation, and resolution of support related tickets. Defined within all our support agreements.

Enjoy frontline service desk support from Outbound, available during standard business hours (Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:30) or with full 24/7 coverage. Our multi-tiered service desk provides around-the-clock monitoring, plus remote, email, and telephone support.

Outbound services help you maintain Microsoft 365 solutions that are sustainable and ensure you maximise your Microsoft 365 investment! This includes a free annual 365 assessment and regular updates on future Microsoft releases.

Includes all the same apps and services as Microsoft 365 Business Standard, with added cyberthreat protection and device management. Business Premium is available for businesses with up to 300 users, while larger organisations using our Virtual IT Department Enterprise package will have Microsoft licences quoted separately.

We monitor many parameters related to the health and performance of server infrastructure and individual services that reside on them to alert and take proactive maintenance tasks before they become support incidents.

Built into our advanced End Point Protection, Detection and Response solution, this tool to blocks access to website based on content filtering categories. With an optional add on to extend this to the market leader zero trust web security provider Cisco Umbrella.

Virtual IT Department Basic includes Microsoft’s Defender for Business EDR. For Secure, Secure Plus, and Enterprise, which feature enhanced IT security services, this is upgraded to WatchGuard EPDR — providing additional protective defences beyond those available in Microsoft Defender.

Outbound configures and supports Microsoft Azure MFA across all service plans, ensuring your applications are integrated with Single Sign-On and secured by multi-factor authentication. For more complex requirements, an optional upgrade to market leaders Cisco Duo or WatchGuard AuthPoint is available.

Advanced email protection including DMARC, DKIM and SPF record management and compliance, risky IP address detection, threat intelligence, real-time alerting and compliance reporting.

Virtual IT Department Secure, Secure Plus, and Enterprise packages all include third-party Microsoft 365 backups with configurable data retention. Immutable backups run twice daily, covering your critical data in Exchange, OneDrive, Groups and Teams, and SharePoint. This protects your business against data loss, downtime, and single-cloud risk. All backups are maintained in a secure, private data centre purpose-built for disaster recovery.

As part of our monitoring, Outbound provides a unified solution that automatically applies patches for operating systems and selected third-party applications. During onboarding, we’ll discuss patching frequency, though we recommend aligning with the Cyber Essentials framework. For Secure Plus and Enterprise packages, an additional patch management platform is utilised to extend coverage across a wider range of third-party applications.

As the first line of defense for protecting company data and maintaining compliance, Outbound manages the local encryption of these devices.

With Outbound Business Review service, highly skilled and industry-experienced consultants perform a detailed analysis of your IT infrastructure, identifying problems, recommending improvements, and assessing the general health of your network and IT equipment. Cyber Essentials is the UK Governments recommended framework for minimum Cyber Security standards. Here at Outbound we strive to ensure security is a pivotal part of all our services, this is why in some of our plans we have included the cost of this accreditation and support to ensure you pass. Providing pre-assessment consultancy, help and advice during the Cyber Essentials process and the actual assessment.

Cyber Essentials Plus still maintains the framework and rigour of Cyber Essentials but with hands-on auditing and technical verification. Recognised as the more advanced accreditation to achieve.

Continually monitors for the existence of crypto ransomware on endpoints using behavioural analysis of files and automatically alerts when a device is infected. Once ransomware is detected, the platform can automatically take action to isolate the infected device and attempt to stop suspected ransomware processes to prevent it spreading.

Covering both on premise and cloud environments our vulnerability scanning system continuously monitors your devices, applications, operating systems and third-party software. Utilises real-time alerting with AI-powered contextual intelligence facilitating the Outbound Team to provide rapid responses and close your security loopholes before they can be exploited. This service can be deployed to any MAC, Linux or Windows device.
